About HerMarkable
HerMarkable celebrates the most underrated feature women possess: their brilliant minds.
Throughout history, women have been remembered for their beauty, their relationships, or their tragedies—rarely for the ideas that changed our world. This directory exists to correct that imbalance.
Why This Matters
As a woman who's spent 17 years building businesses and traveling across 40+ countries, I've been a minority in nearly every room I've entered: as a digital nomad, in tech spaces, in entrepreneurship. Living globally opened my eyes to how differently women are portrayed across cultures—yet one pattern remains universal: we're consistently valued for how we look rather than how we think.
Women's greatest achievements are often footnotes. Their intellect, reduced to anecdotes. Their groundbreaking work, attributed to others or forgotten entirely.
That ends here.
The Mission
HerMarkable is a growing directory of remarkable women whose brains—not their beauty—shaped our world. Women who:
- •Invented technologies we use daily (but never knew they created)
- •Made scientific breakthroughs (that others took credit for)
- •Built movements, wrote code, discovered galaxies, saved lives
- •Changed everything, yet remain invisible in history books
These aren't just stories about exceptional women. They're proof that women's intellectual contributions have always been extraordinary—we just stopped talking about them.
About the Founder
I'm Nina, a Finnish entrepreneur, product designer & developer, and "vibe coder" who believes every woman should know how to build the tools that shape our digital world.
After nearly two decades of location-independent business and living across four continents, I've learned this: women's minds are their most powerful asset—and the world needs reminding.
This site was built by vibe coding tools.
